Aramids family.

It's made by a ring opening polymerisation from the monomer caprolactam.

Uses: Fiber Thermoplastics.

Type 6 - Melting temperature 215 º C

Glass transition temperature: -40 º C

Work temperature: 90 º C

Type 6.6 - Melting temperature 280 º C

Glass transition temperature: -50 º C

Work temperature: 110 º C

Polypropylene

Uses: Thermoplastics, fibers, thermoplastics elastomers.

Unbreakable.

Density: 0,91gr/cm3

Water absorption: 100% rh 23º : 0,01%

Good behavior in acid medium, resistant to shock and wear.

Good behavior with heat.

Melting temperature: 174 º C

Glass transition temperature: -17 º C.

Work temperature: 100 º C.

Silicone

Melting temperature: 260 º C.

Glass transition temperature: -260 º C.

Work temperature: 220 º C.

Density: 1,20 gr/cm3

Water absorption: 100% rh 23º : 0%

Flexible, non-toxic, water repellent, very resistant to temperature

Poly (Methyl Metacrylate)

Uses: Thermoplastics.

Polymerisation : Free radical vinyl polymerisation.

Glass transition temperature: -120 º C.

Density: 1,19 gr/cm3.

Maximum continuous use temperature : 80º C.

Molding temperature: 160-180º C.

Light transmission transparent sheets: 93,7 %.

UV resistant

Good thermal stability and low water absorption.

Polycarbonate

Polymerisation: Interfacial polymerisation.

Monomer: Bisphenol A.

Density: 1,20 gr/cm3.

Molding temperature: 180-210º C.

UV resistant.

Suitable to use inside and outside.

Work temperature: 120 ºC.
